You probably know about this one, if only because of the highly Instagrammable foam smiley-face slippers you have to wear on Jackson Pollock’s famous paint-splattered floor. I feel like this summer tickets will be a hot commodity, with excitement mounting for the Met’s big October show on Pollock and his wife Lee Krasner. Maybe the Met will do a replica of the studio? Visits are reservation-only, which means you usually have the whole place to yourself and it feels very contemplative. You can kind of imagine what it felt like in 1945 when Pollock and Krasner moved here—and how lonely Lee must have felt living here for decades after he died. 830 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton
